I’m a Ph.D. student, law student, coffee drinker, lesbian, sister, daughter, sometimes trail runner, sometimes lifter of heavy things, teacher, sociologist, lapsed and aspiring writer, political lefty, dog owner, pottery class dropout, typing class dropout, reader.

I am naturally distrustful of blogs. They can’t really be diaries, unless you have nothing to hide. And everyone has something to hide. But if it’s so impersonal that you wouldn’t care who read it, then what’s the point? Yet, here I am. And here you are.

(The title of this blog comes from a Simon and Garfunkel song, by the way.)

I ran across your blog by accident. I was actually looking for pictures of Rachel Maddow. Go figure you included her in your quest to find a quality apt/landlord. Thanks for the day-brightener.
